Welcome :)
At Logic&Lore, my goal is to provide tools and services that cultivate self-reflection, inner exploration, and personal growth without the need for mystical beliefs. I believe that when we're given the time and space to look toward ourselves, most of the time we find the answers we're seeking in our own hearts and minds...not necessarily from someone (or something) else.
Whether you're a skeptic or a seeker, Tarot can spark creative thinking, offer fresh perspectives, and help you process what’s on your mind. I know because I used to give Tarot some serious side eye, and now it's a huge part of my life! It's been an amazing tool that has helped me in many ways, and I'm ready to share what I've learned with others in a way that's accessible and approachable, not mystical and mysterious. My readings and products are designed to help guide—not predict—while keeping things light, actionable, and real. It's all about your brain (the logic) intersecting with insights sparked by Tarot keywords, imagery, and structure (the lore). (See what I did there? So clever.)
My Story
I'm Emily, and I used to think Tarot was stupid. Yep. I said it. And if I'm really being honest I used to find it kind of scary too. Are these two statements in direct conflict with one another? Yes. Does that change anything? Nope. Our brains think what our brains think sometimes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don't remember what flipped the switch for me as far as finally borrowing that Tarot book from the library. I wish I had a cool story to tell, but the reality is that I don't have anything mind blowing to share as far as my Tarot journey. No mystical experience, no life-changing reading that came true (in fact...I've never gotten a professional reading before—GASP!). I just remember feeling lost and looking for answers from someone—or something—else. And somewhere between there and finally buying a deck that made sense to me personally (interestingly enough, one with no people in it), I found this amazing tool that helps me think in a whole new way by looking in, not out.
Do I think there's something bigger out there? Absolutely. Do I think it speaks to me through Tarot? Not sure. What I do know is that whether or not I think the universe is sending me a message through the cards, Tarot helps me reflect and process all my mixed up swirly thoughts in a way that helps me find clarity. So if there's a mystical power at play...does it matter? I guess that part is up to you.
